Today I’m sharing a paws-itively adorable hello card featuring the November Stitching Die of the Month from Spellbinders. The overall club theme for November is Charmed Life, a collection filled with feel-good, chic designs that are perfect for sharing with your besties.
This month’s featured set, Fur-Ever Fabulous, is an absolute must-have for any dog lover! For my card, I paired the stitched handbag with the sweetest little pup in a cozy sweater, adding just a touch of metallic shine. The result is a charming, cheerful card that’s sure to make anyone smile!

Fur-Ever Fabulous Hello Card

In this tutorial, I’ll walk you through each step to recreate this adorable handmade card. Let’s get crafting!

Card Instructions
Here’s how you can make your own version of this Fur-Ever Fabulous Hello Card:
Create the Card Base
- Create an A2-shaped card base by die cutting Mint cardstock with the largest die from the Essential Arches die set.
- Die cut another piece of Mint cardstock using the second-largest arch die.
- Adhere the smaller arch to the card base using foam squares for subtle dimension.
Stitch the Bag
- Die cut Oceanside cardstock using the stitched bag die from the Fur-Ever Fabulous set.
- Stitch the bag with metallic gold thread.
- Secure the thread ends neatly on the back using Best Ever Craft Tape.
Assemble the Dog
- Die cut these pieces from the following cardstock colors:
- Blush – Sweater
- Tutu – Sweater arm stripes
- Wild Berry – Sweater stripes
- Alabaster – Face stripe
- Fawn – Dog (head, ears, & neck)
- Raven – Eyes & nose
- White – Solid layers for eyes & nose
- Color the dog’s inner ears with a tan marker.
- Assemble the dog using glue, but keep the head and body separate for now.
Create the Bag
- Die cut these pieces from the following cardstock colors:
- Oceanside – Handle, solid bag layer, and the layer behind the dog
- Mirror Gold – Handle accents
- Use a dark teal marker to deepen the Oceanside pieces for added contrast.
- Glue the bag layers and dog body together while adding foam squares for dimension.
Build the Card Front
- Adhere the bag to the card front, a little over an inch from the bottom.
- Add foam squares to the back of the dog’s head.
- Attach it to the card and position it slightly tilted for personality.
Sentiment
- Foil your sentiment using the Fancy Sentiment Strips BetterPress plate with Gold foil on white Hammermill cardstock.
- Die cut it using the coordinating die.
- Attach the “Just Saying Hello” sentiment at the bottom of your card with foam squares.
