Classic Mouse Christmas Card
Card Instructions
Here’s how to create your own version of this Classic Mouse Christmas Card.
Card Base
- Start by creating an slimline card base (3¾″ × 9¼″) from Forest cardstock.
- Cut a Mint cardstock panel to the size 3½″ × 9″.
- Adhere the mint panel to the card front with glue.
Mickey & Minnie
- Use the Steamboat Willie Duo die set to cut your pieces from the following cardstock colors:
- Poppy – Shorts & Skirt
- Dahlia – Mouth
- Chiffon – Face
- Saffron – Shoes
- Raven – Head, body, arms, eyelash, & tail
- White – Bloomers & buttons
- Assemble Mickey & Minnie with glue. (Refer to guide above for details.)
Festive Accessories
- Use the Classic Mouse Christmas Embellishments die set to cut your pieces from the following cardstock colors:
- Poppy – Hats & berries
- Green – Scarves & holly
- White – Hat trim
- Assemble the hats, scarves, and holly with glue. (Refer to guide above for details.)
- Then, glue the accessories to Mickey and Minnie.
Wreath
- Use the Classic Mouse Holiday Wreath die set to cut your pieces from the following cardstock colors:
- Forest – Wreath, light strands–x6, & bulb backers-x6
- Poppy – Light bulbs & wreath backer arch
- Tangerine – Light bulbs
- Sunkissed – Light bulbs
- Green – Light bulbs
- Splash – Light bulbs
- Pink – Light bulbs
- White – Wreath backer arch
- Assemble the wreath and light bulbs with glue. (Refer to guide above for details.)
- Add foam squares to the back of the wreath and center-ish it on the card, leaving room for Mickey and Minnie.
Assemble the Scene
- Arrange Mickey and Minnie on each side so it looked like they were stringing the lights together.
- Attach the string of lights across the card weaving them around the characters and through the wreath.
- Trim the light strands where needed and hide the ends behind the wreath and characters.
- Attach the characters and wreath to the card with foam tape for extra dimension.
- Add the light bulbs to the strands with glue and/or foam squares.
And that’s it! You now have a handmade Christmas card filled with nostalgic charm, perfect for sharing a little whimsical fun this holiday season.
