Pink Lemonade Hello Card
For this card, I created a little lemonade stand-inspired scene using layered die cuts and summer colors. The woodgrain sign gives the design a cozy handmade feel while the black chalkboard background helps all the colorful elements really pop. I added the “hello sunshine” sentiment across the top and tucked in tiny lemons and strawberries throughout the design for extra detail and dimension.
My favorite part has to be the interactive pinwheel, it actually spins! It adds such a fun playful touch to the card and brings the whole summer scene to life. The bright yellow and berry tones tie in perfectly with the lemonade theme and make the design feel even more whimsical and cheerful.
Card Details
Card Base
- A2 Size: 4¼” x 5½” – top folding
- Cardstock: Teal Topaz
Chalkboard Sign
- Die Set: Pink Lemonade Stand
- Cardstock Colors:
- Fog – frame
- Raven – solid sign
- Classic White – “hello sunshine” sentiment
- Assemble the sign and adhere it to the card base using glue.
Pink Lemonade
- Die Set: Pink Lemonade Stand
- Cardstock Colors:
- Blush – pink lemonade
- Wild Berry – strawberry & straw
- Rainforest – lemon leaf
- Fern – strawberry top & lemon leaf shadow
- Breeze – pitcher & cup
- Malibu – pitcher & cup rim
- Classic White – lemon & lemon slice
- Add ink blending using distress inks.
- Pink Lemonade – saltwater taffy, worn lipstick, & squeezed lemonade
- Strawberry – festive berries
- Lemons– squeezed lemonade & mustard seed
- Assemble die-cuts using glue.
- Cut the lemon slice in half with scissors. Save half for the banner.
- Adhere the pitcher and cup to the sign with glue.
- Adhere fruit with 1mm foam squares.
Fruity Banner
- Die Set: Pink Lemonade Stand
- Cardstock Colors:
- Dahlia – strawberry (x2) & triangle banner (x2)
- Wild Berry – banner string
- Rainforest – strawberry tops (x2)
- Classic White – round banner
- Ink the white round banner with squeezed lemonade distress ink.
- Add ink blending to the strawberries with worn lipstick distress ink.
- Assemble die-cuts using glue.
- Adhere with glue and 1mm foam squares.
Spinning Pinwheel
- Die Set: Pink Lemonade Stand Tags
- Cardstock Colors:
- Dahlia – pinwheel stick
- Wild Berry – small pinwheel
- Classic White – large pinwheel
- Ink the large pinwheel with squeezed lemonade distress ink.
- Assemble large and small pinwheel with 1mm foam squares.
- Adhere the stick to the sign using glue.
- Attach a spinner to the top of the stick using collage medium.
- Then adhere the pinwheel to the spinner. Make sure it’s centered.
